At the age of 25, Rick started dating an actress back when she was 15. The pair dated each other from late 1974 to early 1976. On the 27th of October, 1987, he got married to Barbara Porter. She is a simple housewife and spends most of her time with her family. They feel lucky to have each other as loving spouses and they also have two children from this married life. While working with Columbia Records, he also appeared as himself in the ABC-TV Saturday morning cartoon series Mission: Magic!. He then went on the release albums like Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet (1982), Living Oz (1983), Beautiful Feelings (1984), and Tao (1985), which took his popularity to next level. He released his latest album The Snake King in January 2018.
